Hey there,

I am new to this forum.  What are you carving?  Here is a sign I carved and then burned for a client.  I also carved the rose and then used aniline dye to make it red.

Rose Carving

Is the rose carving undercut to make it look more three  dimensional, or was it carved  by itself and then added to the background? Very nice work, by the way.

The rose is undercut to look more three dimensional and it was also carved separately and applied to the sign.
