I am a wooden ring maker and want to know if I can seal a ring in CA glue and then put a polyester top coat on top of it. I like the hard and tough qualities of a polyester (not polyurethane) finish, and the ease of use and quick curing time of CA as a grain filler/base coat. I want to make sure that the two will (A) bond together well and (B) not crack over time due to the expanding and contracting of the CA glue beneath a rigid polyester top coat. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
