    I made this up in about ten minutes the other night.  I had seen it on paul sellers video.  I made it to a 1:7. My question is why can’t two different  angles like 1.7 on one end and 1.8 on the other.

      Hi Ryan,

      As I understand it, You generally need a “right hand”” and “left hand” side at the same angle so you can flip the marker during use and the other end is to be used when square lines are desired. Knowing the way I work I would constantly get the different slopes mixed up in the marking process and totally FUBAR the process. I don’t know why you couldn’t simply make a new gauge at whatever angle you desired but I would have to be sure and mark the gauge very noticeably or use different woods in the construction.  It looks nice.
