A brad nailer is a smaller version of a standard finish nailer. It typically is used for attaching small moldings and trim to a woodworking project. Because brads are thinner than the finish nails, they can often be used in instances where a typical finish nailer might split the piece of trim as the nail is being driven through. The two tools are generally regarded as complementary, rather than mutually exclusive.

While there are many more ways to use a finish nailer, a brad nailer is very handy for attaching thin strips and delicate trim. Keep in mind that brads can be difficult to drive through some hardwoods and manufactured wood products such as plywood or MDF (medium density fiberboard).

Brad nailer is a commonly used power instrument. It is a handheld power device which drives brad nail into wood or some other kinds of materials. Brad nails are slim, little, finishing nails. Brads can be headless or some time with thin heads, which protrude only a little to one side, helping the nails to become embedded when they are hammered into any surface.
