Not sure where to put this. I am interested in doing some type of apprenticeship in woodworking. I have just started working wood and find it quite enjoyable. I am not interested in the money, but in learning the trade. I would really like to find a Christian ministry that uses woodworking as an out reach where I could learn and when good enough take part in the ministry. If anyone knows of anything in the US, let me know. I can relocate for an opportunity. Thanks in advance for any help.

      Living History Museum

I wonder if you were to contact a living history village to see if they would take on a volunteer docent. Colonial Williamsburg—IMHO is the epitome of living history centers—may not be a possibility, but you could try a state park near where you live. When I lived in Indiana there was Conner Prairie and out here in Utah there is This is the Place State Park. Connecting with them may open up further possibilities.

Thanks for the idea. I will have to look into it.
