I totally agree with Ryan. Even i would also like to suggest you try treating sample areas of the backs of the trim pieces until you find a look you are happy with. You can also add compatible stains or colorants to the finish or using natural amber colored finishes. I remember one of my friends was also confused about the bathtub designs , about the outer and inner color, but then after searching online he came across the website of Artistic Refinishing and took some helpful hints from them.
